The park is open to the public from 7:00am-11:00pm,
seven days per week.

- How does one reserve a shelter?
Contact the Town Office at 540-740-3432 to determine
if a shelter is available for the date(s) you wish
to reserve them.

- How much does it cost to rent a
shelter?
We have various rates, depending on the size of
the shelter and the time of day for which it is
requested. The rates are as follows:

Payments for shelter reservations are due at least
two weeks prior to the scheduled event. Payments
may be made in person at 9418 John Sevier Rd., by
mail at PO Box 58, New Market, VA 22844, or placed
in our drop box, located to the right of the Town
Office entrance.

There is no charge for reserving the BBQ pit.

- When does the pool open? What are
its operating hours?
The Community Park pool opens Memorial Day weekend
and closes Labor Day weekend. Hours are from 11:00am-6:00pm
weekends only until Shenandoah County Public Schools
are out for summer vacation at which time hours
of operation are extended to seven (7) days a week
11:00 am -6:00 pm.

Summer passes for ages 12 and up $60.00; ages 11
and under $50.00
Daily Admission for ages 12 and up $4.00; ages 6-11
$3.00
Free admission for ages 5 and under when accompanied
by a paying adult.

Pool party rates are set at a flat rate depending
upon attendance.
0-49 attendees $125.00/event
50-
100 attendees $150.00/event
101(+) attendees $200.00/event

- Do you offer swimming lessons?
Typically, the Town offers beginners and advanced
swimming lessons each summer. The dates, times and
cost vary according to the instructor. Please watch
for the Town Newsletter for specific information
each summer about swimming lessons or contact the
Town Office at 540-740-3432.
