RATES & FEES

The following taxes, rates and user fees are the most frequently requested. Real-estate Tax: $0.12 per $100.00 of assessed valuation.

Personal Property Tax: $0.80 per $100.00 of assessed valuation.

Vehicle Decal Fees: $25.00 per year for motor vehicles and trailers, $15.00 for motorcycles and $1.00 replacement or transfer fee.

Curbside Trash Fees:
Curbside Trash fees are assessed with the Water/Sewer bill. The rate is $9.00 for a monthly billing. If you choose to privately contract for your trash to be removed from a dumpster, it is your responsibility to contact the Town office to have your trash fee terminated.  Trash removal is currently provided by the Town through a private contract with Long Enterprises.  Trash is removed each Tuesday.

Pool Admissions: (new rates effective March 19, 2012)
Season Pass (ages 12 and up) $60.00
Season Pass (to age 11) $50.00
Daily Admission (ages 12 and over) $4.00
Daily Admission (to age 11) $3.00
Children under six (6) years of age are admitted free of charge if accompanied by a paying adult.

Pool Parties:
The Town has elected to use a flat rate for pool parties.  Parties can be scheduled by calling the Community Pool (540) 740-3362 between 11:00 am and 6:00 pm.
Rates are dependent upon expected attendance. 2009 rates are as follows:

• 0-49 attendees: $125.00/event
• 50-100 attendees: $150.00/event
• 101(+) attendees:  $200.00/event

Water/Sewer Rates:
Water/Sewer is billed on a monthly cycle effective March 1st, 2006. The service does require an initial deposit for those residents renting property.

        Deposits for Water/Sewer Service:
        $100.00 deposit for In-Town Service
        $80.00 deposit for Out-of-Town Water Service only
        $130.00 deposit for Out-of-Town Water/Sewer Service
        (The deposit also requires a non-refundable $15.00 "change over fee")

Penalty for late payment is 10% of the total charge.

Monthly Rate Structure Effective July 1st, 2012 Billing
