The Town of New Market currently has openings for
members of the community to join the following committees:
- Board
of Zoning Appeals
BZA
members are appointed by the Circuit Court Judge to
serve a 5 year term upon Town Council recommendation.
The BZA conducts public hearings when an applicant
requests a variance from the requirements of the zoning
ordinance. Variances may only be granted under
certain circumstances. The BZA also hears cases
in which an applicant challenges the determination
of the Zoning Administrator on zoning related issues.
Interested parties should complete the application
form and return it as soon as possible to the
Town Manager’s Office.
