Tis the Season Reverse Parade

The Town of New Market’s Annual Tis the Season Parade is coming to a halt…..

Don’t fret, we aren’t cancelling it, we are just literally putting a halt to it by hosting a Reverse Parade on December 5th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the New Market Community Park!

What is a reverse parade? Well, instead of the parade rolling through downtown, all parade displays will be parked in our New Market Community Park, and the spectators will be able to drive through the park to see the displays.

The Town of New Market has decided to go the Reverse parade route in our best efforts to keep some holiday cheer, but also adhering to the Governor’s mandates, and keeping the health and safety of all involved due to Covid-19 health and safety concerns.

This parade will be DRIVE-THRU ONLY, and no walking up to see displays and not handouts such as candy, flowers, pamphlets etc. will be allowed.

We are really excited to be unveiling our new Merry & Bright Holiday lighting and decorations during this event, as well.

If you are interested in participating in our Reverse parade, please see our Rules and Regulations, and apply here.

**If we do not meet our minimum threshold of entries, we will regretfully have to cancel this event. The new Merry and Bright lights and decorations in the park will still be on display**

**If we have inclement weather, the decision to cancel the event will be made by noon on December 5th, 2020.**
