Cpicome on out to the third installment of New Market’s summer music series, Cross Roads Fest featuring If Birds Could Fly! If Birds Could Fly brings the sounds of Appalachia, Virginia with their folk, americana and rock n roll style of music. The band’s music is inspired by artists such as Dolly Parton, Loretta Lynn, The Rolling Stones and Tom Petty but say they are more influenced by genres including blues, rock n roll, etc. Brittany Carter’s powerful voice and her ability to play multiple instruments with bandmate, Andrew Carter, make this small-town, Virginian duo a must see! The band has opened for artists Guy Clark, Ray Wylie Hubbard, and LeAnn Rimes. Come out and enjoy two hours of folk, americana and rock n roll style music with If Birds Could Fly! Food and drink will be available for purchase so please no outside food or drink, we like to support our delicious vendors! There will also be a beer and wine garden so bring cash and your I.D.! Admission to the music event is FREE so bring the whole family! There will be corn hole and other kids activities provided by Shentel. Bring a blanket or chair and enjoy an evening of local music, bbq and brews!
