Lifeguard-Pool Season 2024

The Town of New Market is accepting applications for pool staff for the 2024 summer season.  Positions include lifeguards and pool manager(s).  Starting pay is $12.00/hour. Lifeguards must currently have, or be able to obtain a Red Cross certification before the season starts.

Interested candidates must be willing to work flexible hours. Responsibilities include supervising swimmers, enforcing safety rules, operating the pool concession stand, and general cleaning of the pool facility.  Other duties may include supervising swimmers during swim meets or pool parties. 

Employment applications are available on the Town’s website or can be picked up at the Town Office, 9418 John Sevier Road.  The pool opens on Saturday, May 25, 2024.  Applications should be turned in at the Town Office, Attn:  Amber Smoot, Administrative Assistant, at 9418 John Sevier Road or mailed to P.O. Box 58, New Market, VA 22844.
