Seasonal Employment Opportunities

The Town of New Market is currently accepting applications for the following seasonal employment opportunities: 

Part-Time Seasonal Maintenance Laborer I:
This is an entry-level position and the ideal candidate will have prior experience or knowledge of operating equipment such as mowers, weed eaters, blowers, and hand tools. Prior experience in landscaping is preferred. Applicant must possess a valid Virginia driver's license. Pay starts at $12 per hour. 

Pool Staff (Lifeguards/Pool Managers) for the 2024 Season: 
Lifeguards must currently have, or be able to obtain a Red Cross certification before the season begins. Interested candidates must be willing to work flexible hours. Pay starts at $12 per hour.
