Trash & Recycling

Trash Collection

As of July 1, 2020, All In-Town residents have received a 96-gallon trash tote. Residents will roll the tote to the edge of the curb with the front facing the street on Thursday evening/night for pick up on Friday. Residents should return their trash tote to their residence from the curb by noon on Saturdays at the latest. Residents who wish to request an additional trash tote may do so by clicking the link below to download the form. Forms should be returned to the Town office for a second tote to be delivered to the residence. The cost for each extra trash tote is $3.00/month. No trash should be placed out for collection any earlier than Thursday. Trash must be set out in the designated Waste Management containers. Any trash set next to the totes will NOT be picked up. Trash must be in the totes to be picked up. Trash collection is for household trash only. Other items such as construction debris, appliances, tires, furniture, and other large items will be your responsibility for removing from your property. Some of these larger items may qualify for heavy trash pick up, a service the Town offers quarterly.

The fee for trash collection is $20.00 per month and is tied to your water bill. Residential developments that have contracted for a dumpster or businesses that provide a dumpster are not assessed a monthly trash fee. Trash service is limited to those who live within the town limits. If you need to remove trash before collection day, there is a trash collection station located at Rude’s Hill a few miles north of New Market on Route 11.
